New rooms and image change for City Hotel Luxembourg
Following its takeover in May 1990 by the current owner, COPROM S.A., the hotel opened in May 1994 at nº 1 rue de Strasbourg – corner avenue de la liberté under the name “City Hotel Luxembourg”.
Thanks to its central location, the “City Hotel” is ideally accessible and close to all public transport. Luxembourg Central Station is only a 1 minute walk from the hotel; you can also easily reach Findel International Airport just 9 km away.
Old and new
The hotel connects the old and the modern. The mix between the old structure of the building, the classical architecture and the new elements with current trends gives the hotel a very special charm.
Rooms and conference rooms
Substantial modifications have been made, such as the complete renovation of the air conditioning, insulation and soundproofing of the rooms in order to optimize the essential comfort for a good sleep and a healthy climate. The rooms and conference rooms on six floors have been significantly improved and redesigned. The three conference rooms on the first floor are modular, incorporate state-of-the-art technology and can accommodate from 5 to 60 people.
A new design of modern and functional spaces, interiors and sanitary facilities will contribute to the well-being of guests. The City Hotel offers Single, Double, Double Superior, Triple, Junior Suites as well as communicating family rooms.
Support for local products
The City Hotel is in private hands and is committed to supporting regional initiatives and local products. Luxembourg has a great diversity of local products. You will find many products of the “Marque Nationale”, soaps and shampoos of the brand “Bléi vum Séi” as well as teas of the Natural Park of Haute-Sûre (“Téi vum Séi”) or dairy products, regional meat produce and spring water – diversified products of high quality, authentic in their taste.
The breakfast room has also been refurbished and its facilities upgraded. The emphasis lies on fresh and local products:
- Fresh orange juice prepared directly by the new citrus press,
- Coffee machine in quality beans that will make your favorite hot drink to start the day.
New brand image
All the time of this complete renovation was used to modernize its appearance. Thus, the City Hotel receives a new face with a noble logo, accompanied by a new website.
